Catch Up!

Well, we have been up to a LOT since the last post, so apologies for the lack of updates!

Office is all decorated! Well, still need to put up the changing room curtain and the one in the front office to give the appearance of order and serenity! Looking forward to you lovely people being able to come in and view all our goodies!

Had a couple of vintage fairs (with two booked in this weekend!) so it has all been a go-go getting stock ready! Met some fab people so far and only done 3 fairs!

Terrified for this Sunday's fair, it will be the biggest one I have done yet! Put know a few people now and we all have to start somewhere! Will get some photos at the weekend and show you a few of the (hopefull!) highlights. Although knowing me, this will include some festive tipple in hand!

Got our first 'Flossie's Vintage and Craft Fair' coming up in just over a week!!! Argh! Very stressful, but looking to a fabulous festive day of goodies! We will have cupcake decorating to keep the kids (and you if you feel like it!) so settle back and have a festive drink yourself for being so clever and getting your shopping done! The Brave and the Beautiful Fashion Show

So, I completed my first fashion show last night. Was terrified! But was such an amazing experience. It was also terribly stressful, but the biggest buzz yet! Had so much positive ffedback about my collection, plus sold a couple of items! All good! Got a couple of very blurry photos (I missed the show as I was busy throwing dresses on models with a 30 second turn around!) but will hopefully have the professionsal shots soon!

Day in

Decided to stay at home today and do a bit of work and publicising of Re-Enchanted. However pretty my studio is, it is just FAR to cold at the moment! Need to have a bout 5 layers, a blanket, hat and gloves to stand the cold at the moment! Plus need to get my Ugg boots on me thinks. Also considering a balaclava!

Anyway, been promoting the Re-Enchanted at the fairs I will be at over the coming weeks,the fashion show and some of my stock. My favourite dress at the moment is this amazing 70's maxi:

This is one of the downsides to owning your own clothing and accessories business. You want to keep everything!

Well, I am going to get back to sewing beading onto a beautiful midnight blue velvet maxi dress for the fashion show on Thursday. Need to get my act together with the vintage fair aswell. Just too much to do!

Re-Enchanted Studio

Well after a long few days (and wall paper not matching) finally had my studio painted and wallpapered! Even the kitchenette got a wee make over!

Created my litte mood board. I definatly need more visuals as there are sooo many ideas going throiugh my head to make and do and I dont know where to start! I am also obsessed with looking at blogs and gaining ideas, whether fashion or jewellery and I serioiusly cannot remember them all!

Only got a few days intil the Brave and Beautiful fashion show. Very nervous as never done a show before, but trying not to think about it just yet!

Also been trying to get a fair organised in Ormskirk. Still to decide on a name, plus have not heard back from the manager of the bar. Shall get back on to that tomorrow! Hopefully will have a definate name for you then!

5 Things..

I wrote down today for the first time in a hell of a long time (if ever!) what made me happy, or what I was proud of achieving. I have also noticed a number of other blogs doing the same, and find it a nice way to reflect on things!

1. Finally sorting out my own vintage fair!Exciting times ahead!
2. Dying my hair red. Only problem is I now need a new wardrobe to go with it...
3. Snuggles from my friends husky puppy Nouka
4. Getting my studio wallpapered and all finished decorating- photos will be up as soon as it is done! Oh and hopefully a cheeky Chinese meal afterwards to celebrate!
5. The lovely pink sky forming after a miserable grey day!

Got so much to look forward to at the moment. Not overwhelming just yet! Off to get  ready for a lovely night out with my boy as I shall be working all weekend!

Happy Halloween!

This is Mr Jack O'Lantern. Made him the other night as I was a bit miserable I wasn't playing out for Halloween this year. It's my favourite time of the year, but hopefully next year will have planned a night out!

Anyway, very sorry for not updating sooner! I have been in Madrid as well as re-decorating the studio. I am hoping to turn it into a studio and appointment only shop, so I am very excited! Although I am currently sat here very cold waiting for the paint to dry whilst trying not to inhale the fumes to much! I will post some piccies once it is complete!

Had a fab time in Madrid. Got to see a fair bit, the palace was beautiful, so many amazing colours. Just a shame I could not take any photos in there! Did my bit for Breast Cancer also!Did involve having a cocktail, but who am I to say no to that for charity!

I will be showcasing some of my vintage and customised wares at the Brave and Beautiful Fashion show that a very fabulous friend of mine, Emma Seddon, is organising at Circo Liverpool!I am terribly nervous as I have never done anything like this, but did get a sneak peak at the last one she did, which was amazing! Kukoo Vintage

Well, completed my first fair on Saturday with Kukoo Vintage Fairs at Aloha Bar in Liverpool. Was not as scary as first anticipated. In fact at one point I was dancing around (with my friends beautiful daughter, all for her sole entertainment of course), and fully must recommend the Pirates Punch cocktail...But back to work! Managed to sell a few of my Re-Enchanted Re-Styled garments and jewellery which is a great buzz! And I now have a lot of ideas of what to work with for the next one! I am looking in to getting a fair up and running locally to myself, so keep posted for more information! Have a nose at the pictures below from the fair!

London Fashion Weekend

Well mama bear annd I were up at 4am to make sure we got to London Fashion Weekend on time yesterday, and it was oh so worth it! The Vintage by Wayne Hemmingway area was amazing and has given me some amazing ideas for Re-Enchanted! Two of my new favourite stores were http://www.d4discus.com/ and Smokinggunvintage at ASOS. Both had amazing upstyled products, from using vintage fabrics to vintage patterns!

We were also asked to model for http://www.fraubraun.com/ a beautiful vintage store with the fabulous concept of getting the customer to model there clothes for the online store! Take a look online, you might spot us!

As part of the prize, we also had tickets to the Chambord Platinum Lounge, where we were greated to free champage and mini cupcakes! I also got to sit on the 'FROW' for a fabulous catwalk show highlighting the forthcoming trends. It was hosted by stylist Grace Woodward of X Factor Fame!

Not only that, but I also bumped in to one of my fellow competition winners Lynsey Reid, and we had a fabulous day together. Off to send a picture to the Stylist magazine for finding me a new friend!Will get some more photies up soon, as after yesterday, I need to catch up with some ZZZZ's!
